Centering 9.5: The back is nearly perfect, but the front just favors the right side a touch, keeping it from a perfect score. Still, this is well within the standards for a top-tier grade. Corners 10: All four corners are textbook sharp, just what you want to see on a modern chrome card. No softness or whitening visible at all. Edges 10: The edges are clean and crisp all the way around. I looked hard for any chipping, which can happen on these, and couldn't find anything to knock. Surface 10: A beautiful, clean chromium surface. I scanned for the print lines or scratches that are common on Finest, but this one came out flawless under the light. With subgrades of 10, 10, 10, and 9.5, this card averages out to a stellar 9.875, landing a Gem Mint 10 'Sapphire' grade. Congratulations on a top-tier example of this James Wood rookie from the brand new Finest set; it's a fantastic pull with killer eye appeal that just barely missed a perfect score on centering.
